Bridgemate scores the Gold Coast Congress and the Yeh Cup 2009

Bridgemate has a long track record of scoring events of global importance. All the World and European Championships since 2005 have been scored successfully with the Bridgemate scoring system. Bridgemate will now add Australian’s biggest event, the Gold Coast Congress, and the famous invitational Yeh Brothers Cup to its track record.

The Gold Coast Congress is Australia’s biggest bridge event. It is held once a year in Gold Coast, Queensland, and attracts players from all over the country and abroad. In 2009 the tournament will be organized from February 28th till March 7th. Up to 500 tables are in play in pairs and teams events and all tables will be equipped with a Bridgemate scoring device. The organization has chosen Bridgemate for its long-term proven reliability and user-friendliness. An estimated total number of 115,000 boards will be scored with Bridgemate.

The yearly Yeh Brothers Cup is an invitational tournament hosted by Mr. Yeh from Taiwan where the world’s top bridge players gather together and measuring their strengths. All previous editions have been held in Taiwan, but for the first time in history, the Yeh Cup is now organized outside Taiwan and will be held together with the Gold Coast Congress in Australia from February 26th to March 2nd. Also for the first time, the Bridgemate scoring system will be used to score all boards electronically and provide instant and up-to-date rankings. It is for sure that the Bridgemate will increase the high level of this tournament even more.
